Plan’s strategy emphasizes community engagement and ownership as the means to address the needs of children around the world, and our community-based development programs focus on eight technical areas: Education, Economic Security, Water and Sanitation, Health, Sexual Health (including HIV), Emergencies, Protection, and Child Participation.
Plan recognizes that no child lives in isolation, and for the child to truly benefit in any meaningful way, the basics of a stable and healthy community must come first. Plan is dedicated to working directly with children, their families and communities to develop, design, implement and evaluate development projects that result in sustainable outcomes and real impact on children’s lives.
